A Sunny Flower for a rainy April day - Arikara

I just needed to see a picture of a flower that was sunny and bright.
It snowed here today, you see. : (
Hope the weather is better where you are, and that you can play in the garden.
I'm indoors overwatering my houseplants...
Have a great weekend!

It was a damp and dreary day here, and quite chilly, but at least we didn't get any white stuff. I love the sunflower, it sure is nice and cheery.

We do what we have to do to get through the gray days. We are experiencing glorious spring here. Hold on. It is coming.

Karen, Don't let the snow get to you. Put on some good music, I prefer 60's Rock, but then I'm an old hippie, make a nice cup of tea or coffee and go to your studio and make more of those wonderful artworks. That said, I can totally relate, Snow is the big reason we moved to the coast.

Overcast and showery here today ... it's been like that for weeks and weeks now! I did manage to get some time in the garden ... a whole hour in fact! My greenfingers are just itching for some real work!

Great bloom ... so cheery! Thanks.

It was horrible here in Oshawa yesterday - and I drove through snow/sleet a couple of times in my travels. Alot nicer here today -sunny and warmer. But I'm stuck inside painting (not artistically, a room).
Your sunflower pictures sure brightens any cloudy day.

Ladies, thank you, all of you! What wonderful comments that cheered me up as much as any sunshine could do. I'm happy the Arikara brightened your day, too : )
It seems weatherwise, we were all in the same boat yesterday, no matter geographically speaking, where we are!
~ Crafty Gardener, I'm happy you didn't get any of that white stuff. : )
~ MotherNature'sGarden, you are so right. Thanks for the reminder!
~ Helen, we have the same taste in music! I'm a jazz fan, but my roots are the 60's/70's rock, too. Anyone at Woodstock is worthy of listening to, but especially Steely Dan : )
~ Bernie, I'm glad you managed to get a bit of gardening done! Sorry to hear you've had so many weeks of that kind of weather.
~ Heather, our weather was shared! Sorry to hear you had to drive in it! Yes a beautiful day today.. Hope you'll finish painting soon and can enjoy some of this nicer weather!

Have a great week, everyone!

I guess it is a good thing I stayed in Toronto this weekend, doesn't sound like I would have got any gardening done anyway!

No, not likely, Deborah! Better off in town for sure! I imagine the Bruce was having the same weather as us. Today was much nicer. It wasn't so bad, though. I got caught up on some indoor stuff I'd been putting off. Not a bad thing once in a while, I suppose ; )
