Growing Beefsteak Tomatoes

Beefsteak Tomatoes coming along nicely.
Last year I planted them way too late, and combine that with the rainy and miserable summer that it was, weatherwise, I think I harvested only a few tomatoes in September.
Thinking this year's bounty will be more abundant and hoping yours will be, too.
Happy Gardening!

Your tomatoes are so far ahead of mine!

Well, it's kind of strange to me, Deborah, but thinking what may have helped was that they were started under lights way back in February.

However, having said that, a friend of mine,
(a potter here in Haliburton), and has a fabulous gardener, also has worm bins.
She is amazing. She collects all the liquid by products from her bins. I call it "worm juice"!
I was fortunate enough to receive a bottle of it from her and have been using it for fertilizing these particular tomatoes, if only to see if there'd be a difference, and I think there is.
My other tomatoes are flowering, but not producing fruit like these ones are, and oddly enough, I haven't used the worm "juice" on them.
So, typical me, making a long story short!
Thanks for visiting, Deb!
